So I couldn’t pass this opportunity up….The words are mine, the picture is not….
Regina smiled down at Roland as Robin pulled his blanket up higher, effectively covering his son’s small frame. Roland snuggled down further into his bed, pulling his new stuffed monkey to his chest, smiling as his eyes drifted shut. Regina felt her smile grow even larger as she leaned down kissing Roland’s forehead, she felt Robin grasping her hand, before both making their way out of Roland’s room.
"How did I get so lucky?" Regina asked Robin as the door shut behind them and they made their way back to the living room.
"I ask myself that everyday. Between you and Roland, I don’t know" he told her pulling her knuckles up to his mouth and placing a delicate butterfly kiss there, pulling her on the couch next to him. The fire was the only illumination in the room, casting a romantic hue on the couple.Regina snuggled up to Robin’s chest, breathing in his scent. From her spot she could see the markings of his lion tattoo, and she smiled thanking god that she had run into Tinkerbell all those years ago. Without the meddling fairy, she might not be sitting her this deliriously happy.
"I can’t wait to tell Roland," Robin muttered as he slipped the ring back onto her left hand. He smiled down at it, watching the diamond catch the fire light.
"Do you think he’ll be okay with it? I haven’t exactly been the model step mother," she sounded concerned and Robin would have none of that. He knew of her past, but he also knew of her desire for a better future. One he planned on making sure she got.
"He loves you. I love you. We are going to be one big happy family," he told her pulling her in for a kiss, one full of promise for the happy life ahead. Regina had never been happier than in this moment, surrounded by such copious amounts of love.
